5 Laptops to Ease Your Travel Woes

Is this you? You're the business professional who is sick and tired of lugging your heavy computer laptop back and forth to the office and home, or drag it on the airplane in your carry-on bag. Either way, to get a lighter laptop r, you have to get one that's stripped-down with no-frills or the better ones are too heavy. Well, you don't have to settle for one or the other now. There are some great lightweight laptops that you can use with an array of features that can make your travel experiences worthwhile, entertaining, and really a pleasure to deal with.

The first featherweight laptop were to look at is made by Hewlett-Packard. The HP 2133 Mini-Note PC is a tiny little guy, but he brings a lot to series features to the table. This computer comes in as one of the heavier ones it comes in at just 3 pounds. But this small notebook is able to cram in two USB ports, an ExpressCard slot (handy for devices like a 3G ExpressCard for cellular broadband), a SD slot, and a 1.3-megapixel webcam. You can also control both Bluetooth and 802.11a/b/g connectivity with the simple on and off switch located on the bevel. When purchasing this Mini note PC, there are many storage options, including 4GB and 64GB solid-state drives. You can also opt to purchase the Mini note with 120GB and 160GB spinning ones. It should be noted that one of the things to consider if you are a very frequent traveler is to consider purchasing the option with the solid-state drive. Although the memory is smaller, because it has less moving parts, if you bang your laptop, or drop it, you run the less risk of damaging your PC.

The Fujitsu LifeBook U810 (WWAN) has all of the basics you are looking for a laptop, but it's the connectivity that really sets this guy apart. If you are a frequent traveler and spend much time in airports, you probably have had some connectivity issues. The Fujitsu can solve problems. The U810 incorporates an AT&T HSDPA modem, along with 802.11g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. So what you end up is three different ways to get connected wirelessly. No matter where you're at it should be able to find a port that you can use to get on the net.

The next laptop are going to take a look at is a little bit on the h is eavier side. Although a little bit more weight, the Toshiba Satellite U405-S2830 is a laptop you should consider taking a look at. This notebook comes with three USB ports, as opposed to the two ports on the HP. One of the neat features all these ports, is what they call-Sleep-and-Charge. You can keep all of your electronic portable devices plugged into this laptop even when it's turned off, and it will continue to charge the devices. This Toshiba also has some benefits that you can create DVD media. It works well if you're the kind of person that has to create presentations on the fly.

Next up is the Lenovo ThinkPad X300. Where the Fujitsu life book moves ahead with connectivity, the Lenovo takes it even further. Definitely not on the cheap side however, this laptop manages to include an integrated EV-DO antenna and GPS module, plus it's WiMAX-ready. It is the first in his class of no books to include a WiMAX chip, however, depending on which way Intel's next generation ago it may or may not be worth it. The ThinkPad comes with all the standards we talked about earlier, and a DVD dual Drive.

When considering battery life, ASUS U2E-A2B is a laptop to consider in this department. Because the AES US comes with an extra battery, you have the option of switching to a heavier more powerful battery that can get you up to five hours of use. The U2E-A2B also does come with the dual layer DVD burner and three USB ports all talked in this little 2.7 pound laptop. It also comes with an HDMI port (besides the usual features we expect to see in a laptop of this size and weight).

The Hewlett-Packard made a note PC comes in at about $749 direct. It's super sleek and is guaranteed to sell out quickly. The Toshiba satellite will sell for approximately $ 1149 direct. Although this computer may not be the lightest it's affordable price tag makes it want to take a look at. The Fujitsu life book suggested retail will be $1199. Again if you looking for mobility this one may be for you. Though the noble ThinkPad comes in at about 3000 bucks. This is a seriously expensive computer, but it will rival the Apple Mac book air. Finally, the ASUS comes in at $2499. This laptop is beautiful altar portable and again as the great battery power option. Even though it has all these great features, the price is a little bit on the high side, and stands to have a better processor upgrade.
